The Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM) is part of AnthropoScene, a large-scale, multidisciplinary art exhibit exploring how humans have reshaped the planet. Launched on February 14, 2025, the exhibit brings together artists and scientists to reflect on climate change, biodiversity loss, and human-wildlife conflicts through powerful visuals and life-sized sculptures.
Bernard Alan B. Racoma, PhD contributed a video piece featuring satellite imagery of Tropical Cyclones, offering a striking look at the increasing intensity of extreme weather events. At the opening reception, Rafaela Jane Delfino PhD, shared heartfelt words on the urgency of addressing climate change.
AnthropoScene invites viewers to confront the environmental challenges of our time and reflect on the role we all play in shaping the planet’s future.
AnthropoScene is open to the public until March 28, 2025, at Gallery One, UP Fine Arts Gallery, Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9 AM – 4 PM. For more information: https://www.facebook.com/anthroposcene2025
