The Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM), in partnership with the Philippine Meteorological Society (PMS), hosted MeTOURology 2026 on 23 March 2026 in celebration of the 161st National and 76th World Meteorological Day. The activity forms part of the pre-convention program of the PMS Annual Convention 2026, scheduled on 24–25 March 2026.

The event brought together college student participants for an introductory visit to IESM. The morning program featured presentations on the institute’s academic, research, and extension programs, as well as testimonials from current meteorology students. Participants were also given the opportunity to engage with IESM faculty and researchers, followed by guided tours of laboratories and demonstrations of weather and air quality monitoring instruments .

In the afternoon, participants proceeded to ABS-CBN for a studio tour and a discussion with media practitioners, where they observed weather reporting and broadcast operations. MeTOURology 2026 provided participants with exposure to both academic and operational aspects of meteorology, serving as an introductory engagement with the field ahead of the PMS Annual Convention.
