Following the Philippine Meteorological Society (PMS) elections held on March 19, 2025, several members of the IESM community have been elected or re-elected to the Society’s Board of Trustees.

Dr. Bernard Alan Racoma, faculty member at the Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM), has been newly elected to the board. Dr. Gerry Bagtasa, also from IESM, was re-elected, continuing his service on the board. They are joined by IESM alumni Prof. Henrison Sanchez and Prof. Charlindo Torrion, who were also elected as trustees.

Continuing her term is Dr. Rafaela Jane Delfino, IESM faculty member, while Dr. Joseph Basconcillo, an IESM alumnus, was elected as Vice President of the Society.

The strong representation of IESM faculty and alumni in the PMS Board reflects the institute’s sustained engagement and leadership in the advancement of meteorological science and education in the Philippines.

The Philippine Meteorological Society is also always open to new members who are interested in meteorology and related sciences. Membership is open to professionals, students, educators, science communicators, and institutions involved in atmospheric and environmental fields.
