
On 24 November 2025, Dr. Shakil A. Saghir delivered a Special Lecture titled “Environmental Dilemma: From Climate Change to Pollution” at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) in Cambodia. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, students, professors, and members of the press, providing a diverse audience for the discussion of urgent environmental concerns.

In his talk, Dr. Saghir examined the disproportionate impacts of climate change and pollution on developing countries and highlighted the responsibilities of developed nations in shaping global environmental outcomes. The lecture prompted meaningful engagement among attendees and underscored the importance of addressing environmental justice in international climate and policy conversations.
