Dr. Shakil Saghir, faculty member of the Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM), University of the Philippines Diliman, has been selected as a mentor in the Mentoring and Skills Development Training Program in One Health (MSDT-One Health), funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Hosted by the University of California, Davis, the MSDT-One Health program builds research and mentoring capacity in toxicology and transdisciplinary One Health science, integrating human, animal, and environmental health. As mentor, Dr. Saghir will help guide early-career scientists and students engaged in research at the interface of health and the environment.
